"DNS server not responding" router or modem
For some reason after i changed my network connection wiring, my linksys RTP 300's phone stops working. Then when i check my connection though diagnose i found out that "DNS server not responding" My internet dies and comes back a lot for some reason. It's really ticking me off. Hi, Did you try the nslookup command to check the DNS resolving? Could you access the Internet? Please disable the firewall or directly connect to the ADSL modem to dial-up for a test.Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. I can't open a connection to your DNS servers on port 53, or even ping them for that matter. That said, there's a chance they might only respond to clients on your ISPs subnet. Double-check your provider's DNS servers and ensure you have the correct IPs though. Regards, Jason
